At a time when featured development is sought nowadays,culture and economy are more closely related than ever before.The key to theprotection of old town lies in the evacuation of economy and population from the old town through the industrial adjustment and upgrading the functionof the old town.Based on the existing industrial development of old town in Nanjing,it is necessary to adopt the policy of vertical driving and horizontalcooperation with innovative development and to systematically develop experienced economy to achieve mutual development in culture and economy.[
