The production process of chilled cast iron camshaft made by Citroen Automobile Co. was introduced. The comparison between domestic and foreign camshaft production status was made.Applying shell molding process to produce chilled cast iron,castings with low surface roughness and high size accuracy can be obtained and the castings can satisfy French PSA chilled cast iron standard. Chilled cast iron camshaft has less production procedure and energy consumption and lower costs.
