The concept of singular hybrid economic systems with impulse effects was proposed based on the complexity of economic systems. Some models of singular hybrid systems with impulse effects for macroeconomic systems were established and the optimal control problems concerning these models were discussed. The necessary conditions for optimal control and the explanation for some models in terms of economics were given.
