摘要 CNPC held a seminar on 襡nhancing management forhigher efficiency?from September 8 to 10, 2003. Theproposals put forward by CNPC for 襡nhancingmanagement for higher efficiency?included strengtheningstrategic management, actively promoting structuraladjustment, implementing efficient management in theweak links of the oil production business, promoting theconception of service to aid in market expansion,strengthening efforts to stress cost control to bring aboutlower consumption and higher efficiency, promoting theconcept of name brands conception to reinforce qualitycontrol, strengthening management through adoption ofeffective management systems, extensively using modernmanagement means to boost management levels andpromoting creativity in management. In a report deliveredat the seminar, the vice president of CNPC, Zheng Hu,stressed the need to highlight strategic management andinvestment policies, to locate the weak points in corporatemanagement, to mount activities to tap potential increasesin efficiency, to establish long-term effective mechanismsfor effective management and to attach great importanceto the basic work of management. The seminar indicatesthat CNPC is fully aware of the importance ofstrengthening corporate management under the marketeconomy. The seminar also shows CNPC誷 determinationto increase efficiency through more scientific managementso as to promote corporate reform and development.
