Itis pointed out that carved-silk craftsmanship saw its extreme prime in the Song Dynasty. TheYuan Dynasty carved-silk is often inlaid with gold thread; and those of Ming and Qing arerespectively added with coloured painting and made by a combination of painting andembroidering.
