This paper discusses the principle of 3-point round tolerance error, gives cyclometry equation, a series of equations for shape error and their derivating process and analyses the cause of affecting measuring error accuracy of the measuring system. All the sources of affecting measuring error accuracy have been narrated. The methods for reducing the error have been suggested.
