Excessive propagation of Eichhornia crassipes in Bailianhe Reservoir and its preventive countermeasure

白莲河水库是鄂东最大的多功能水库.近年来凤眼莲在水库过度繁殖,已覆盖了库区水体总面积的60%.本文分析了凤眼莲过度繁殖的原因并提出了防治对策.

Bailianhe Reservoir is the largest multifunctional reservoir in the east of Hubei. The (Eichhornia crassipes) in Bailianhe Reservoir has been propagating excessively in recent years. The plants have covered 60% of total area of the reservoir. This paper herein analyses the excessive propagation cause of Eichhornia crassipes in Bailianhe Reservoir and puts forward the preventive countermeasures.
