Fuzziness in Fuzzy Linguistics: A Cognitive Linguistic Perspective

典型理论对范畴的认知阐释是与传统的范畴观 (经典理论 )相对立的。本文旨在论述范畴模糊性的客观存在 ,从心理学和语言学研究的角度给予论证。模糊语言学是当今语言学研究的热点 ,它对“模糊”的研究对象因涵盖面广而显得不清晰。本文通过分析和对比认知语言学和模糊语言学对“模糊”的研究对象之异同 ,由此澄清后者所研究的“模糊”之义 ,并指出 :这是应用范畴化理论对汉语语言结构进行研究的前提。

Categorization theory in cognitive linguistics is established as the opposition to classical theory in traditional view. This paper offers psychological and linguistic evidence for categorical fuzziness. Fuzzy linguistics covers such a variety of fuzzy phenomena that it is not easy to distinguish what are fuzzy from what are not. In this sense fuzzy phenomena are much fuzzy in fuzzy linguistics. A comparison between fuzziness in cognitive linguistics and in fuzzy linguistics is made to clarify 'fuzziness' in the latter so that we can apply categorization theory to further exploration of Chinese.
