A Survey of Relationship Between Teaching Occupation and Teachers' Health Status

【目的】了解教师身体健康状况,初步探讨体检中疾病构成。【方法】研究对象来源于广州市天河区中医院2000～2001年体检人群,采用描述性分析及x^2检查。【结果】教师组和非教师组人群常见病总例次患病率差异无统计学意义,分别为163.15％、151.89％。教师组的近视、单纯性慢性咽炎患病率高于非教师组(P<O.01);非教师组在低血压、宫颈炎、乳腺增生的患病率高于教师组(可能与非教师组妇女人数较多有关)。【结论】近视、单纯性慢性咽炎与教师职业有密切的关系,提示教师职员应加强此方面的职业保护。

【Objective】To get a general idea of the health status of teachers and to study the disease pattern through physical examination. 【Methods】The 4056 subjects who had the physical examination in Guangzhou Tianhe District Hospital of TCM from the year of 2000 to 2001 were divided into teacher staff group (n = 1994) and non-teacher staff group (n = 2062). In teacher staff, 1134 were male and 860 were female and 705 and 1357 in non-teacher staff respectively. Classification of disease, morbidity rate and case ratio were compared in the two groups. 【Results】 Morbidity rates and frequency of several commonly-seen diseases were 163. 15% in teacher staff and 151.89% in non- teacher stall, the difference being insignificant (P>0.05). Morbidity rates of myopia and simple chronic pharyngitis were higher in teacher staff(P<0.01) and those of hypotension, cervicitis and hyperplasia of mammary glands were higher in non-teacher staff. 【Conclusion】There is a positive relationship of teaching occupation with occurrence of myopia and simple chronic pharyngitis. These suggest that the teachers should pay more attention to occupational protection.
