A Review of the 2003 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management

管理科学学会是一个权威性学者职业学会,致力于创造和传播有关管理和组织方面的知识。该学会的核心使命是通过提高管理学术水平和其成员的职业发展来增进管理专业化。2003年度的会议主题是“知识经济时代的民主”。本文介绍了该国际会议的主要内容,并就有关问题结合我国的管理实际进行了评述。文章最后还对我国管理科学的发展提出了建议。

The Academy of Management is a professional association dedicated to creating, applying and disseminating knowledge related to management and organization. The Academy′s central mission is to enhance the profession of management by advancing the scholarship of management and enriching the professional development of its members. This article discussed the highlights of the annual meeting, and gave some reviews to the main topic of the meeting in accordance with the practice of Chinese management. Finally, it provided some suggestions to the development of management science in China.
