摘要
本文在简略论述重庆江北5.2、5.4级地震基础上,介绍了新闻媒介在报道震情灾情、地震趋势的判断、抗震救灾、宣传地震科普知识、消除群众疑虑思想、报道建筑物的抗震能力、预防次生灾害以及对稳定社会、安定人心,减轻地震灾害损失等方面起到的重要作用。
Based on the brief exposition of the Jiangbei, Chongqing, earthquakes of M 5.2 and 5.4, This paper introduces the roles of news medium in the reports of conditions of both earthquake and catastrophe, judgment of seismic tendency, anti-earthquake and disaster relief, propagation of popular seismic scientific knowledge, clearage of popular doubt, reports of antiseismic ability of structures, precautions against the secondary hazards, reassurances of both the public and the society, reduction of hazards and losses from earthquakes, and so on.
