With reference to Max Scheler's analysis about 'hate' by means of value phenomenology, the article discusses Lu Xun's 'hate' complex in his mentality related with his personal experiences and writing texts. The author thinks Lu Xun's hate complex comes from his hurt-memory of life experience, role location of self-sacrifice and circumstance consciousness of feeble minority identity. The article distinguishes 'hate' into two different meanings of 'Ai Yuan' and 'Fen Yuan', indicating the intricate diversifications of Lu Xun's 'hate' mentality in front of different people.
