With the methods of documentation, online information and the overview of the subject, it has made an analysis of the retrieval features of main search engines and taken a comparative experiment of main search engines in sports scientific information retrieval on Internet. It has also made a general review of their main retrieval means and applications in sports information retrieval via Internet.
