Stator bar insulation is one of the two critical technologies of three gorges hydogenerator. The technical characteristics of stator bar main insulation of three gorges generator designed and manufactured by domestic and oversea contractors are analyzed and compared, and issues that should be paid attention are presented. Both HEC and DFEM adopt resin rich and mould pressing technology for manufacturing, and all the technical indexes of the main insulation can meet the demand of the contract.
