诚信作为经济伦理的一项基本原则起源于商品交换,随着市场经济产生和发展而逐步完善。在市场经济发展的历史进程中,既必须讲究诚信,又存在着发生不诚信的空间:既有导致不诚信的机制,又存在着促进和维护诚信的机制。为了实现市场经济的健康高效的运行,必须建立诚信原则的制度基础,形成一个信息充分、法制健全、道德制约有力、政府监管有效的社会诚信体系。随着社会诚信体系的建立和健全,我国社会主义市场经济必会更健康地向前发展。

Honesty and credit as a basic principle of economical ethic is originated from commodity exchange, and gradually improved with the birth and development of market economy. In the historical process of the development of the market economy, honesty and credit should be abided by, while there are still rooms for dishonesty and discredit. There is a mechanism leading to dishonesty and discredit, while there is a mechanism for promoting and maintaining honesty and credit . In order to operate market economy in a healthy and highly efficient way, an institutional foundation for honesty and credit principle should be established. Its aim is to form a social system for honesty and credit with sufficient information, a complete law system, a powerful restraint to morals, and an effective inspection by government. By the establishment and completion of the social system for honesty and credit, our socialist market economy is sure to develop healthily forward.
