Some Questions to the Studies on Theory of Knowledge

本文对知识论研究提出几个值得重视的问题,其核心问题是知识论研究的哲学之维如何确定。知识是科学问题,知识论是与科学关联的哲学问题,两者的界限涉及哲学如何保持独立性和不被科学化。知识论是近代主体性扩展的哲学一支,是为科学技术发展的知识合理性作哲学论证的,但知识论本身无力克服唯科学主义和唯技术主义,所以有人本的非理性思潮的兴起,因此又出现如何看待知识论与人本哲学思潮的关系问题。其他值得关注的,还有与西方哲学史整体联系的“爱智”与知识论的关系问题、知识论研究中怀疑的作用及其意义以及理性与非理性的关系诸问题。

This article puts up some important questions to the research of theory of knowledge. A central concern of the author is how to define the philosophical dimension in the research field of knowledge theory. Knowledge is a subject of science, so the theory of knowledge is a philosophical problem narrowly related to science. The boundary between knowledge and theory of knowledge refers exactly to a question: how can philosophy keep its independency without being identified by scientism. Theory of knowledge is an extension of subjectivity in modern philosophy; it provides philosophical arguments for the knowledgeable reasonability of scientific and technical improvment. However, knowledge theory itself is not able to overcome scientism and technicism. That is why the humanistic irrationality has arisen. Based on this new development of the relation between knowledge theory and humanism, it also appears the relation between the theory of knowledge and the philosophical trend of humanism. The other concerns include the relation between 'love of knowledge' and knowledge theory through the whole history of western philosophy, and the function and significance of scepticism in the study of the theory of knowledge, as well as the relation between ration and irration.
