信息素质是信息化社会对人才的必然要求。民族高校大学生多数来源于信息比较闭塞的偏远的少数民族地区。他们自有的信息意识、信息观念较为薄弱。兼具信息职能和教育职能的高校图书馆,应在日常的、实际的信息工作中,积极承担起对民族高校大学生实施信息素质教育的责任,为高校素质教育做出应有的贡献。
