宋人对李白的认识和理解与唐人有较大差别。受唐人盛赞的李白在宋代文学批评和学术研究中地位不高,颇受冷遇,多受贬抑。对前人的褒贬取舍正体现出一个时代的价值原则,从唐人并尊李杜到宋人独尊杜甫,反映了唐宋不同的社会背景和文化特征。

People in the Song dynasty had quite different views about LI Bai from people in the Tang dynasty. LI Bai who was highly acclaimed in the Tang dynasty was depreciated in the Song dynasty. The selection of appraisement of the predecessors reflected the value of the age. The change of respect for both LI Bai and DU Fu in the Tang dynasty to DU Fu alone shows the different social backgrounds and unique cultural features in the Tang and Song dynasties respectively.
