The design, performance, and applications of the home made three stage cyclone separators and the new type two stage cyclone separators in acrylonitrile reactors were presented. The home made cyclone separators in acrylonitrile reactors offered a wide range of operation elasticity and good stability, their pressure drops were lower than 7kPa, the loss of catalyst in acrylonitrile/t was lower than 0.4kg, the production requirements of acrylonitrile could be satisfied. The new two stage cyclone separators were suitable for capacity retrofit of existing plants.
