This article introduces the architectural design concept and the design skills used in the retrofit and extension design for the existing Langfang District Hall changed into a modern multi-functional Langfang Ming Zhu Cinema. It also explains the environmental design, the Made design, the retrofitted space and the strengthened audience hall. This design provides some successful experience for the same type of retrofit projects.
