Chen Yun's Hope and Endeavor to Combat Corruption and Build a Clean Government

陈云生前担任过七年中共中央组织部长和两届近十年中央纪律检查委员会第一书记,曾提出反腐倡廉是"关系到党的生死存亡"的大问题的著名论断,主张严肃党纪、严惩腐败和加强党的思想政治教育相结合,对恢复、健全党的纪检机构,形成党的纪检体制机制的五大特色作出了独特贡献。陈云是中国共产党廉洁奉公的楷模。

During his live time, Chen Yun served seven years as the CPC Central Organization minister, and two terms, about 10 years, as the first director of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. As far as the survival of the Party' was concerned, he arrived at the famous conclusion that it is vital to the Party to combat corruption and build a clean government. He maintained that the Party regulations be tightened, the corrupt dealings be severely punished, and the ideological and political education be integrated for the Party members. His thought is of unparalleled contribution to the restoration and perfection of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and to the shaping of 5 features of the Commission. In spite of his high rank, he gave little consideration to fame or gains, which distinguishes him as the model of honest and upright CPC member, and the full embodiment of building the Party and government for the well-being of people'.
