Knowledge-based Economy and the Shift of Functions of the Chinese Government

知识经济是继农业经济、工业经济之后兴起的一种新的经济形态,它对政府的职能和作用提出了新的要求。知识经济最先在美国兴起,通过对其政府在知识经济兴起中的职能和作用的分析,提出我国政府为迎接知识经济的到来应发挥的职能和作用。

Knowledge-based economy is a new economy prosperous following the agricultural and industrial economies,which presents new demands to the roles and functions governments play.This paper discussed the roles and functions played by the government of USA where knowledge-based economy first took shape,and hoped that it would pave the way for the change of governmental roles and functions in China.
