On the Humanistic Prosody of the University

人文精神是大学的灵魂 ,它不仅能够为知识的传递提供合理的价值导向 ,而且能够为人类文明的传承和科学精神的倡扬提供不竭的动力。我们正处于知识爆炸的时代 ,知识赋予人类的巨大能量使其目的问题日益突出 ,作为当代社会知识传播的中心 ,大学唯有重视自身的人文维度 ,才能塑造出既具有知性活力 ,又富有人格魅力的人 。

Humsanism is the spirit of the universities. It not only provides the rational value gaidance for the transfer of knowledge, but also provides inexhaustible impetus for the passage of human civilization and the promotion of scientism. We are in the midst of a knowledge explosion, and the enormous power knowledge equips humans with renders the problem of purpose increasingly conspicuous. As the center or contemporary social knowledge transfer, the universities won't be able to produce talents with personal charisma and fulfill their sacred tasks with which society entrusts them unless they esteem humanism.
