名词指称广泛存在于不同的语言中 ,英语也不例外。英语中 ,名词指称形式多样 ,指称范围可大可小 ,不仅能用来确保话语连贯 ,还可实现多种修辞功能。熟悉英语中名词指称的特征能帮助我们更好地理解话语机制。
Nominal references are widely used in all languages, English being no exception. Nominal references in English can be employed, in a variety of forms, to refer to any part, micro or macro, of the discourse and to ensure discoursal coherence or fulfill desired rhetorical purposes. Familiarity with their features can help to gain a better understanding of the discoursal mechanisms in English.
