The state of CO_2 expander technology is analyzed in this paper.It is implied that more and more attention is paid to the CO_2 expander in the world to recover the expanding power and improve the cycle efficiency.Furthermore,base on the present technology of compressors and gas expanders,many types of expander such as reciprocating expander,rotary vane expander,rotary expander,scroll expander,screw expander and centrifugal expander are compared.As a result,the difficulties in CO_2 expander technology are raised and the research direction such as leakage and stress problems are put forward.
