Abstract: Couplet culture with a long history has a strong influence upon China's culture and history and constitutes a unique and invaluable part of the Chinese culture heritages. This paper emphasizes on the significance of couplet databases development. Data fields, optimal hierarchy and structure, data input styles, couplet data query interface of the databases, together with preparations for creating the databases, couplet intellectual properties and related problems are presented and analyzed.
