摘要
湖北葛店出土楚简出现“太一生水”的宇宙生成图式。“太一生水”不是战国中后期突然冒出来的奇思怪想,《老子》等为它准备了充足的思想或文化的材料。它是有神话或民间本体文化之背景或“基础”的。“太一”相当于道或太极,它的母型是“混沌”、太阳或北极星。作为“天地母”,它是“生”水并通过水生成天地万物。这又以“水生万物”的“水源论”宇宙观为基础。而太阳、太一或天帝,都有控制、衍生雨或水的功能,这也是“太一生水”的另种表达或证明。
In Gedian city, Hubei Province, the bamboo slips of Chu State were excavated, on which
painted the formation of the universe--'Taiyi Produces Water'. It's not the odd idea that came out by
sudden during the middle and end of the Warring States. Some records, such as Lao Zi, have already provided for it ample ideological or cultural materials. It has the mythological or folk cultural back-ground and basis. Taiyi is equal to Dao or Taiji of Taoism. Its stereotype is primal chaos ('Hundun'), sun or Polaris. Being 'Sky, Earth and Mother', it produces water and through water, it produces crea-tures in the universe fatherly.
