This paper presents the main characteristics of information digitalising technologies and digital libraries.It discusses the advantages and limitations of these digitalising technologies in developing digital libraries.The paper concludes with suggestions on how to make full use of these technologies available for the continuous development of digital libraries in a healthy manner.
