An approach is made to improve the safety of devices in which sealed radioactive sources inbuilt. With a view to attainting the goal of safe application of the devices/meters equipped with sealed radioactive sources, a wide range of suggestions are put forth, including streamlining regulatory system, improving oversight and control quality, reinforcing the responsibilities for operation and management and advocating safety culture.
