HARVESTING THE SUN ——The status and prospects of solar thermal conversion and photovoltaic applications in China

我国有丰富的太阳能资源,已有25年光 热研究历史。10年来,太阳热水系统的生产发展迅速。2002年各种太阳热水系统销售约1000万m2,主要是获得生活热水,一些其他的应用正在研究与开发。光 电研究与开发已有30多年了,应用在卫星、灯塔和通信等领域。2002年一个巨大的国家项目"送电到乡"的实施,完成了17MWp,这加速了我国的光 电产业。

China has an abundant solar energy resource.Solar thermal conversion have been studied for 25 years and solar thermal system industry was fast developed in the past 10 years.There are various solar thermal systems shipped around 10 million m^2 in 2002.Mainly providing domestic hot water,some other applications are under extensive study and development.Photovoltaics have been studied and developed more than 30 years and applied in the satellite,lighthouse and communication,etc.A huge national project 'Electricity sent to villages' has been implemented and constructed 17MWp in 2002,accelerating the developments of PV industry in China.
