婆媳关系是赵树理小说所涉及的女性解放问题中特别被关注的一个侧面。有关革命的、新政权的叙事话语使其小说具有了叙事的合法性 ;而他自觉的民间叙事立场又使其小说自溢出相悖于证“名”的叙事空间 。

The relationship between mother in law and daughter in law is one of his special concern in Zhao Shuli's problems of female emancipation. The narrative words on revolution and new regime validate his novel in narration. Zhao's self conscious standpoint for folk narration makes his novel yield automatically space for narration beyond only verifying the validity. His novel presents a kind of real female relation.
