Firm Knowledge Search Strategy Determinants Literature Review: a Local-distant Search Perspective

企业创新与发展离不开对多样化知识资源的搜索与整合。当前企业知识搜索研究多侧重考量搜索宽度与深度在不同情境下对企业绩效的影响;而对搜索前因的研究,尤其是有关远程‐本地视角下企业知识搜索行为前因的探究相对较少。基于Web of Knowledge信息检索平台,本研究搜集并筛选了45篇该领域内的英文文献。这些研究在20余年的时间跨度(1993-2014)中逐渐丰富,并在最近5年左右进入了高速发展阶段(2008年之后占到80%);且其中有30%来自创新管理领域的最顶级期刊;同时近80%探讨了有关影响搜索的因素。这些都反映了远程‐本地搜索前因领域的愈来愈高的科研价值。其次,本研究从"组织内部能力与资源"(其中又包含吸收能力、控制机制、经验以及资源四个子因素)、"企业搜索动机"以及"企业搜索情境(包含环境动态性、环境敌对性以及技术体制三个子因素)"三个方面建立了远程‐本地视角下的搜索行为前因理论框架。最后,本文指出现有前因研究中存在的一定盲区,一些观点之间也存在矛盾,这些问题都为后续研究提供了很好地契机。

Firms’ development and innovation can hardly stay away from the search and integration of knowledge sources. Current researches on knowledge search mostly focus on the effects of search depth and scope on firm performance. And at the same time, researches on determinants of knowledge search, especially determinants under the local-distant search perspective, are not significant enough. Based on Web of Knowledge academic platform, the research screened and studied 45 papers in this domain. Those studies progressed fairly in a 20-year-long time span (1993-2014);30%of which were from top journals of innovation management domain;80% of which discussed about determinants regarding knowledge search. All those facts indicate the booming research value of local-distant search determinants studies. Besides, the study builds a three folded determinant theoretical model including “organization internal capability and resource”, “organizational motive” as well as“search context”. Finally, the research points out the blind spots and some contradictories within this area where future studies could be facilitated.
