On Cultivation of Advanced Literary Journals in Wartime by Shenghuo Bookstore

生活书店是抗战时期我党领导下最具影响力的现代出版机构。在党的领导人毛泽东、周恩来及中共南方局的指导和帮助下,生活书店精心培植《文艺阵地》《文艺战线》《笔谈》三份进步文学期刊,对抗战时期我党的文化统战工作及文化舆论空间的拓展意义重大。

During the period of Anti-Japanese War, Shenghuo Bookstore, under the leadership of Communist Party of China (CPC), was the most influential modern publishing organization. Under the guidance and support of CPC leaders Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and The Southern Bureau of Communist Party, Shenghuo Bookstore elaborately cultivated three literary journals:The Literary Position, The Literary Front, and The Conversation in Writing, which have great significance to the united-front work of culture and the expansion of cultural space of public opinion during the period of Anti-Japanese War.
