The Factor of Korean Peninsula On the Communication Between Sui and Yamato

隋代是古代中日关系发展的重要时期,具有承前启后的作用。隋倭通交表面上看似乎是两国之间的问题,实际上却与东亚世界诸国相互联动紧密相关。在以东亚世界的共同性和关联性,分析隋倭关系的同时,也必须注意各国的独特性。隋倭关系既是东亚世界相互关联的体现,又是两国出于独特性的情势而作出的选择。对隋朝而言是与高句丽的关系,而对于倭国而言是与新罗的关系,两种国际关系的各自发展,是隋倭通交的动因之一。

The Sui Dynasty, which performs a transitional function, is an important period during the development of ancient Sino-Japanese relationships. On the surface the communication between Sui and Yamato is the bilateral relationship, but in fact their communication is closely linked with the dynamic changes in the East Asia. The relationship between Sui and Yamato is analyzed not only from the perspective of commonness and relevance in the East Asia but also from the perspective of the uniqueness of each country. The bilateral relationship not only symbolizes the correlation in the East Asia, but also is the result produced by the special circumstances of the two countries. For Sui it is a matter of dealing with Koguryo, while for Yamato it is a matter of dealing with Silla. The development of the two kinds of bilateral relationships is one of the motivation for the communication between Sui and Yamato.
