The key of software reuse is abstract, and the metadata is characterized by abstract, normative and stability. In this paper, a software reuse technology was proposed based on meta-data, and a software reuse component was built based on metadata, which belongs to the soft-ware reuse component with medium grain size, and it has the moderate levels of abstraction, and it can adapt to the reuse of the whole software system, and it has nothing to do with the de-veloping language.
