English newspapers not only serve as an information media but valuable teaching and learning resources.With the aim to improve English teaching and the cultivation of university talents,this paper examines the advantages of using newspapers in ELT classroom and illustrates the potential values of NMELT in enhancing students' comprehensive language ability,broadening their international visions and building up their capacity of critical thinking.It concludes that NMELT will play a more important role in English teaching and university talent training in the globalized world.
