By studying the life and cultural background, the article holds that Gongmanjiemu and the Queen Mother of the West are the same ancient historic figure inhabited in the western China, who appeared in different images in accordance with the differences of time, nationalities and cultures. The long history of Tibetans and Han nationality folklore exchange is proved by the fact that both Tibetans and Han nationality worship the very Queen Mother of the West.
