关于西安东郊秦川机械厂塔基地宫及舍利容器的相关问题

Related Issues about the Base of Tower and Underground Palace at East Suburb of Xi’an Qinchuan Machinery Factory

本文将西安秦川机械厂出土的一批舍利容器与国内其他地点出土的有确切纪年、形制类似的舍利容器进行比较后,认为其在年代上存在差异,其组合方式也有不同,应当分属两处塔基地宫,更进一步推断秦川机械厂所在地过去当有两座佛塔,或可证明当时长安城寺院布局中确有在主院之南布置东西双塔的形式存在。

A group of sarira(stone of buddist relics)containers excavated from Xi’an Qinchuan Machinery Factory have been compared with that of reliable chronological records and similar shapes from other archaeological spots.Our research has found that the sarira containers of Xi’an Qinchuan Machinery Factory should belong to two underground palaces according to the divergence among individual container in chronological record and combination pattern,which indicates that there used to be two stupas where the Factory locates and further proves the existence of placing double stupas(east and west)to the south of main temple in the layout of Chang’an City Buddhist monasteries at that time.
