皇(孛殳)鼎铭文考释

Huang Gu Ding in the Inscription

《商周青铜器铭文暨图像集成续编》中收录了一件皇(孛殳)鼎,铭文显示这件鼎系春秋晚期楚国封君橐皋君的公子皇(孛殳)所铸,'橐皋'这一地名亦见于包山楚简,鼎铭中的'千岁之外我是以遣'可以与固始候古堆出土的编镈铭文合观,解决了编镈铭文中长期争论的一个疑难字,确为'遣'字。

The Huang Gu(孛殳) Ding has been recorded in The Shang and Zhou Dynasties Bronze Inscriptions and Image Integration Renewal, and the inscriptions shows that the Ding was been cast by prince Huang Gu(孛殳),son of the King Tuogao in Chu State at the late of Spring and Autumn Period. The name of Tuogao is also recorded in bamboo slips of Mount Bao. ' 千岁之外我是以遣(I will be sent to the thousand years away)' in the inscriptions can be compared with the inscriptions on the Bo Bells which is found in Hougudui of Gushi County. An character has been recognized which has been a dispute for a long time,which turning out to be '遣 '(Qian,'send').
