Summary of the Culture,Settlements,Social Continuity and Reform of the Predynastic Zhou and Western Zhou

会议将先周与西周时期文化、聚落与社会作为主题,结合近些年考古发掘及调查所得新材料,运用考古学方法与多学科融合的模式,从文化、聚落、社会多角度探讨周文明的延续与变革。会议从生业、古环境、古人种构成等方面对考古学材料进行解读,在探讨区域文化格局与聚落形态特征的同时,对周人的社会组织结构及其人地关系等方面进行了积极探索。

The meeting’s theme was the culture,settlement and society of the Predynastic Zhou and Western Zhou Dynasty,it combined the archeological excavation and investigation of new materials that obtained in recent years,with the model of using archaeological methods and multi-disciplinary integration to probed the Zhou Dynasty civilization’s continuation and reforms from the perspectives of culture,settlements and society,as well as explained archaeological materials from the aspects of subsistence,ancient environment and ancient species composition,the meeting explored regional cultural patterns and settlement morphological characteristics,while made a beneficial exploration of Zhou Dynasty’s social organizational structure and its human-land relationship.
