说“肆壶”与“田壶”

从文字、文例、器型及器物自名等各方面情况来看,湖北随州叶家山曾国墓地出土的曾侯谏壶的'■壶'即'肆壶'的'肆'与'田壶'的'田'皆应读作'彝',表器之共名。所谓'肆壶'当系肆列之器,而盛欎鬯以浴尸,用于丧礼,'田壶'之'田'意即田猎,'田壶'应为田猎之游而作,'田壶'与'肆壶'名称有别,唯见其用途不同,以致形制各异等说,并无确据,似求之过深而有附会之嫌。晋侯簋铭'田■簋'的'田'在铭文中亦应读作'彝',表器之共名,簋自名格式为'共名+用途+专名',是较为复杂的结构。

Based on the characters, texts, shape and self-name of utensils,we can conclude that 'Si'and 'Tian' of 'Si pot' and 'Tian pot' of the inscriptions of Zenghou Jian pot, which unearthed from the Zeng National Cemetery in Yejiashan,Suizhou,Hubei province, should be read as 'Yi',to refer to the common name of the utensils. There is no truth in such statements as 'Si pot' should be used as display device for the funeral,which is used to bathe the corpse, 'Tian' of 'Tian pot' meaning hunting,and 'Tian pot' should be used for hunting in the field,because of different uses,the name and shape of the 'Tian pot'and 'Si pot' are different, there are suspicions which are too deep and a strained interpretation. 'Tian' of'tian qi dao pot' of the inscriptions of Jinhou Gui should also be read as 'Yi',to refer to the common name of the utensils, which is a complex structure of 'common name + use + special name'.
