The'mythical'image of Tibet was prevalent in the early twentieth Century because the West has reaches an important period of rethinking their view of civilization and modernity,meanwhile the west interest in Buddhism grew significantly,and the historical representations about Tibet,and Tibet had never colo-nized by west all influenced a lot.The mythical image was constructed by western explorers、travelers and writers,that just little concrete to Tibet fact,but perceived as a spiritual realm as'the other'to west which could offer an even blanker canvas for western fantasies and worries.
