蜀身毒道、麝香之路与丝绸之路,都是古代中国西部民族与世界民族交流的古道。在这些古道的一端是具有适合香料产生的湿热、高寒自然环境的中国西部地区,历史上,这些地区少数民族传统文化丰富多元,且瘟疫、瘴气等自然灾害多发,并关系国家疆域的安危;在这些古道的另一端,是同样适合香料、香药生产的东南亚、南亚、中亚、西亚,乃至欧洲等异域国度的世界各国民族优秀的传统文化。香文化在丝绸之路等古道上,与世界各个民族传统文化交融并生、和合共存。一直以来,香料、香药是丝绸之路等东西方交流古道上朝贡、商贸等活动中的重要物品,香被广泛的应用于古代中国的世俗生活和神圣世界,在民族传统文化交往、医疗卫生及文化精神生活等方面占据不可或缺的地位。香文化成为实现边疆社会稳定发展、维系丝绸之路等东西方民族交往古道兴衰的重要文化纽带。借助香及香文化,古代中国各民族与异域世界民族的传统文化不断交流、借鉴、融合创新、和合共存。古代中国与西方世界民族交流古道上丰富多元的香文化是中华民族传统优秀文化的有效构成。汉唐以来,香文化深刻的影响着古代中国社会的发展和多元构建。挖掘、整理香文化是共享丝绸之路精神、把握"一带一路"国家战略之宗教文化核心、实现中华民族伟大复兴的时代需要。

Shu-Yuandu Road,Muskiness Road and Silk Road are all ancient roads of communication between ancient China west nationalities and peoples from the world.At one end of these ancient roads was west China with either damp and hot or high and cold natural environment.In history,these regions inhabited by ethnic minorities were rich in traditional multiple cultures,experienced many natural disasters such as plagues,miasma,and were crucial to the national security.At the other end were Southeast Asian,South Asia,Central Asia,West Asia,all rich in spice and fragrant medicines,and even countries in Europe with excellent traditional cultures of their own.Along Silk Road,spice culture integrated,coexisted and mutually developed with traditional ethnic cultures of all peoples across the world.Spice and fragrant medicine has always been important commodities of tribute and trade along ancient roads of east-west communication.Spice has been widely used in secular life and sacred world,has played indispensible role in traditional cultural communication,medicine,health,and cultural and spiritual life.Spice culture has become a key cultural tie to realize stable social development in bordering area,and maintain the prosperity of ancient communication roads such as Silk Road.With the help of spice culture,ancient Chinese nationalities and peoples across the world communicated,learned,blended,innovated and harmoniously co-existed.The colorful spice culture along these ancient roads is a valid component of excellent traditional Chinese culture.Since Han and Tang Dynasties,spice culture profoundly influenced the social development and multiple construction of ancient China.It is the need of this era to unearth and sort out spice culture so as to enjoy the spirit of Silk Road,to master the religious and cultural core of national strategy of'one belt and one road',and to realize the great re-rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
