To product large high-quality forage grass and solve the long-standing disequilibrium between the capacity of grass and the quantity of livestock being in Xinjiang animai husbandry, it is important to introduce and select some good quality and high output forage grass breeding suitable for conditions in Xinjiang. In the article, the author analysed and discussed the ecological and biological characteristics of fine forage grass breeding planted and introduced in Xinjiang at present. The article would be contributed to inducing and selecting fine grass suitable for Xinjiang and to promoting the sustainable development of animal husbandry.
