Puban and the Wars in the Period of the Han Zhao

在十六国时期各政权一直以蒲坂为河东郡或并州的治所,在汉赵时期各种势力均将蒲坂视为战略要冲,为此展开了激烈的争夺。而之所以如此,是因为蒲坂位于黄河以东,中条山以北,仅距潼关六十里,是拱卫关中地区的一个主要关口,其境内的蒲津又是黄河东岸的重要渡口,加上此渡口还便于架设浮桥,因此说蒲坂无论对于割据山东地区还是割据关中地区的各种势力来说确实是一个非常重要的战略要冲。

In the period of Hanzhao regime,various powers would take Puban as a strategic hub and fight fiercely for it because of its important location. Puban,thirty kilometers from Tongguan,is located in the east of the Yellow River and the north of Zhongtiao Mountain,so it is one of the main points to safeguard the territory of Guanzhong. Pujin located in the territory of Puban is an important ferry in the east coast of the Yellow River,and the ferry is fit to set up the bridge,so Puban is indeed a very important strategic position to the powers in the Shandong or Guanzhong area.
