This paper introduces the background of the 1st bridge over Zhijiang River in Yiyang; analyzes its disease causes and a scheme of broadening renovation are put forward; it also calculates the bearing capacity of the bridge and its security are checked up by the static test of the bridge after maintenance and broadening have been undergone.
