SZ型水压自动定向仪是无缆式的，有外径54、73mm两种，适用于深孔和钻孔顶角≥4°的斜孔，以及高固相冲洗液钻孔。该仪器定向过程简单，定向一次只需3—10min，定向精度为（±10°）。同时还介绍了定向仪的结构及维护保养。
