The article reviews the significant theoretical contributions of artificial intelligence of Alan Turing, who advanced the famous Turing machine theory. It probes the start of his intelligent machine research and some origins of his ideas before the World War II. It analyses his paper about "intelligent machinery" published in 1947 and the famous paper about the possibility of intelligence of machines published in 1950. The article also probes the mutual influences between Turing’s ideas of intelligent machine and N. Wiener’s cybernetics.
