中华人民共和国是我国的国号,体现了全体中国人民建立新中国的理想、追求和实践,在不断继承、借鉴的过程中,其内涵愈发丰富,不但集中体现了中国社会主义的特色理论,而且彰显了自由、平等、人权、法治等现代普世价值,全面吸收了儒家学说等中国传统文化的精华,将之作为现代中华文化的最佳载体与象征物,乃实至名归。因此,在新的历史时期,从宪法学的角度深刻阐述我国国号的科学内涵,将之打造成为全体中国人民的共同价值追求与集体共识,对培养高度的文化自觉和文化自信,不失为一条全新的道路。

In the process of constructing modern Chinese culture,we meed look for a suitable symbol and best carrier.The People’s Republic of China is the name of our country,which reflects the ideal,pursuit and practice that all Chinese people build new China.In the process of costant inheritance and emulation,its connotation is more and more rich,which not only reflects the specific theory of Chinese socialism,but also highlights modern common values such as freedom,equality,human rights and rule by law etc.The name of The People’s Republic of China has fully absorbed essences of Chinese traditional culture such as the Confucian doctrine etc.So it is worthy of the name to be the carrier and symbol of Chinese modern culture.Therefore,during the period of new history it is a new way to deeply elaborate the connotion of the name of our country in the view of science of constituotion,which can be common value pursuit and collective consensus of the collective Chinese people and is useful for training consciousness and confidence of culture.
