The stylistic characteristics of discourse richness of the “Model Drama

作为“文化大革命”时期独特的舆论工具 ,“样板戏”话语被要求具有宣传鼓动的社会功能。而以言辞的丰满为特征的繁富丰厚风格手段正好切合了“样板戏”话语表达的需要 ,因此被大量运用在“样板戏”话语里。

As the unique instrument of the public opinions in the Cultural Revolution, the Model Drama discourse is required to carry the social function of propagandizing and inspiring. The richness stylistics device, characterized as the fullness of the verbalism, is just tailored to the expressing needs of the Model Drama. Therefore, it is employed extensively in the verbalism of the Model Drama. This article, in the perspective of the descriptive and lyric functions of the drama language, investigates the stylistic characteristic of the richness of the Model Drama verbalism.
